Choosing this day as a commemorative day reflects respect for history and cherishing of victory. It reminds people that victory is hard-won, peace is extremely precious, and history must be remembered, and martyrs must be cherished at all times.
02 Grand Military Parade: Demonstrating the Mighty Military Presence in Multiple Aspects
The military parade was conducted in two steps: the parade ceremony and the march-past. During the march-past, the aerial flag-protection echelon, the foot march formation, the battle flag formation, the equipment formation, and the aerial echelon passed through Tiananmen Square in order.
The aerial flag-guarding echelon, consisting of multiple formations of various helicopters, will demonstrate the great truth that justice will prevail and peace will prevail by guarding flags, forming characters, and hanging slogans.
The marching formation embodies the characteristics of "one old and one new". The military band arranged a specific formation to symbolize the course of the war of resistance, with trumpeters in the front row to commemorate the anniversary of the victory of the war of resistance. The warm-up segment featured a joint performance of war resistance songs, showcasing newly composed "victory of the war of resistance" theme tracks in formation.
The military band has optimized and increased the proportion of woodwind instruments, innovatively utilizing a combination of ceremonial bugles, brass instruments, and percussion to enhance the richness and brilliance of the music. The 14-year War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the tremendous contributions made by the Chinese people opened up a significant eastern battlefield. China has long contained and resisted the main enemy forces, making an indelible contribution to the ultimate victory.

From the early days when equipment was reviewed and aircraft flew back and forth over Tiananmen Square, to the present where all reviewed weapons and equipment are domestically produced and in active service, the modernized troops arrayed on the Chang'an Avenue are not only a tribute to history, but also a declaration for the future.
